A Special Gift for the Bride and Groom…

A rosary customized with the Bride’s birthstone, and the first Cuttlebone Cross was given.

Late on Saturday evening of August 22, 2014, at a rehearsal dinner, an excited Bride and Groom laugh and chatter as they sit closely together in a banquet room full of their closest family and friends. One of the Bridesmaids gets up from her table to present the Bride and Groom with special gifts. She explains that the gifts were being given the day before the wedding, because they were for the upcoming wedding ceremony.

As the Bride carefully opens a little pouch – pulling out a delicate rosary with shiny silver and sparkling gemstone beads – the Bridesmaid explains the significance of the gift. A rosary was chosen for her to celebrate her faith that will be symbolized as she wears it by weaving it through her bridal bouquet. The Pink Tourmaline was to symbolize her birth – a blessing for all that know her.

As the Groom carefully opens another little pouch – pulling out a shining cross pin – the Bridesmaid explains the significance of the gift. The cross pin was chosen for him to celebrate his faith that will be symbolized when on the day of the wedding, he wears it on his tie. The very special cross is a Cuttlebone Cross.

As the room full of people continue to watch and listen and the eyes of the Bride, Groom, and Bridesmaid fill with tears, they all begin to hear the meaningful story of the Cuttlebone Cross. This is the first time the story is ever told, and the first Cuttlebone Cross ever given.

To the Bride and Groom,

I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of being a part of your special day – and you a part of something special for me. Love you both and God Bless!
