The first piece to be imagined, hand drawn, and hand painted – by Kari Blough-Smith – while in training.  This pearl, gold, and opal necklace design was inspired by the Koi Fish swimming together at Balboa Park in San Diego, CA.  Drawing and painting by hand is one of several ways jewelry pieces can be rendered before actually being created.
